Channel Conduct

While we are a loosely governed community, on our corner of Freenode, there are some rules that we loosely apply:

Not permitted

1. Don't be a dick. Most of the other rules are just special cases of this.
2. Don't be a retard.
3. No drama. None. Not even a little. All sources of drama will be promptly removed; don't waste your time.
4. These rules are to be interpreted as seen fit by the ops. Violations will be dealt with in the same fashion. Appeal to ##socialites-ops if you feel butthurt. Don't abuse ##socialites-ops.
5. These guidelines are subject to change without notice.

Permitted

On the flipside, here are some things we do permit:

1. Swearing. Be aware, swearing isn't punctuation.
2. NSFW links, topics, and the like. Please, if you post a NSFW link, MARK IT AS NSFW. We have some here who are at work. Don't be surprised if you find an NSFW link not marked though.
3. Sexual discussion. This may get somewhat graphic and steamy.
4. Debate on controversial topics such as politics, abortion, religion, et al., so long as the debate doesn't violate the rules or degrade into ad hominem attacks (it's not hard people, really).
5. Jokes, even off-colour or potentially offencive ones.
